Installer leads (S5/S7)

This covers the form at /tools/installer-lead.

What we collect

  • Form details: email, postcode, chosen service (S5 or S7), optional installer ID and any optional fields you submit (e.g., name).
  • Technical: IP address and browser user-agent with your submission (fraud prevention & troubleshooting).
  • Verification: Cloudflare Turnstile token to confirm the request is human (privacy-preserving, no captcha images).
  • Analytics: anonymous funnel events, including coarse postcode (outward/code area). We do not store full postcodes in analytics.

How we use it

  • To match you with a vetted installer near your postcode and facilitate contact for quotes/installation.
  • To protect the service from spam/abuse (Turnstile + rate-limits).
  • To understand demand and improve our content and funnel (aggregated analytics).

Legal bases

  • Legitimate interests: handling your enquiry and preventing abuse.
  • Consent: if we ever ask for optional marketing communications, we’ll obtain explicit consent first.

How long we keep it

Lead records are stored in Cloudflare KV. We also set a short-term duplicate marker (24h) to avoid multiple records for the same email + area + service. Our standard retention window (e.g., 12 months) will be documented here once finalised.

Where it’s stored & processed

  • Hosted on Cloudflare Pages & Pages Functions.
  • Lead data stored in Cloudflare KV (regionally distributed infrastructure).
  • Human verification handled by Cloudflare Turnstile.

Sharing

  • We share your details with a vetted installer only to provide quotes and arrange installation.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

Newsletter

This covers newsletter sign-ups across Trackershowdown (e.g., fitness trackers updates).

What we collect

  • Subscription details: your email address (and your name if you provide it).
  • Consent metadata: timestamp and source; our email provider may also store IP/user agent for audit logs.

How we use it

  • To send occasional news, guides, and product updates related to our content verticals.

Legal basis

  • Consent: you opt in; you can withdraw consent any time by unsubscribing.

How long we keep it

  • We keep your subscription until you unsubscribe.
  • After unsubscribing, we may retain a suppression record to prevent accidental re-adds.

Email provider

We use an email service provider (insert provider name when chosen, e.g., Mailchimp/Brevo/ConvertKit) to manage subscriptions and deliver emails. They process your email address and basic delivery metrics on our behalf.

Services we use

  • Cloudflare — site hosting (Pages), serverless functions, KV storage, and Turnstile verification.
  • Analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) — aggregated usage metrics. We do not store full postcodes in analytics.
  • Email provider — for newsletter management and delivery (add provider name once final).

Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data. To exercise your rights, contact us via our contact form using the email address you submitted, and include any relevant context (e.g., the page where you submitted the form).
